contemporary garden design in London
This classical, contemporary, small London garden design was developed in 2024, with a carefully curated planting scheme installed in late autumn. This bespoke garden design in London is thoughtfully arranged over three levels, featuring dedicated spaces for entertaining, relaxing in the lounge area, and enjoying a peaceful morning coffee.
We were tasked with developing a planting scheme focused on evergreen planting and white flower species.
The patios use Egyptian Beige Pavers and Florence White Porcelain. The planting borders use Scottish pebbles to draw the garden down and help soften the space.

For this contemporary small design, we selected Egyptian Beige pavers, Scottish pebbles, and Florence white porcelain paving tiles to create a harmonious and elegant look. These materials, combined with design features such as Salt-Glazed Pots and specimen olive trees, contribute to a timeless yet modern atmosphere, perfectly reflecting the essence of high-quality garden design.

Ilex Crenata
Ilex Crenata, commonly known as Japanese holly, is a small to medium-sized evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green leaves and inconspicuous white flowers in spring, with small black berries later in the year. This resilience to pruning and dense growth habit makes Ilex Crenata a popular alternative to common Box for topiary. Ilex Crenata is the perfect companion.

Olive Tree
Olive trees are incredibly resistant, especially in sheltered London gardens with milder conditions. These beautiful trees thrive in large feature pots or well-drained soil and benefit from full sunlight. The leaves are aromatic, with delicate yellow flowers in the summer, and if you are really lucky, black olives will appear in late summer or early autumn.

Agapanthus
Agapanthus 'Snowy White' is a semi-evergreen elegant perennial known for its striking white flowers and lush green foliage. It flowers from July to September in large, rounded clusters reaching heights of around 70cm. 'Snowy White thrives in well-drained soil and prefers full sun to partial shade, promoting a low-maintenance garden while attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies.

Myrtle
Myrtle is a highly fragrant evergreen shrub commonly found in warm climates but thrives in sunny UK gardens. With glossy, dark green leaves, it produces beautiful white flowers in summer, followed by blue-black berries. Myrtle has a long history of symbolizing love and peace and is often used in traditional medicine and aromatherapy.
