luxurious contemporary garden outdoor living
This classical, contemporary garden in Haringey, North London, was developed in 2024. A planting scheme was developed and planted in late autumn 2024. The garden is split over three levels, with designated areas for entertaining, a lounge, and a morning coffee area.
We were tasked with developing a planting scheme focused on evergreen planting and white flower species. The patios use Egyptian Beige Pavers and Florence White Porcelain. The planting borders use Scottish pebbles to draw the garden down and help soften the space.
The material choice for our contemporary garden includes Egyptian Beige pavers, Scottish pebbles, and Florence white porcelain paving tiles. Combining these materials with styling features, such as Salt-Glazed Pots and specimen olive trees, gives this garden a timeless, contemporary vibe.
contemporary materials
Your front garden is the first impression visitors have of someone’s home. This contemporary garden project combines timeless Jura Beige paving, Victorian tiles, and a feature pot with a specimen olive tree that seamlessly blends the entire front garden. The garden steps use a bullnose feature to help soften the landscaping materials.
front garden elegance
Fencing is essential to provide privacy and prevent us from feeling enclosed or claustrophobic. This contemporary garden project uses painted Venetian fencing with Jasmine on stainless steel wirework to soften the space. The fragrance of the Jasmine will lift the garden with an abundance of scent in the summer.

evergreen and white flower planting scheme
Ilex Crenata
Ilex Crenata, commonly known as Japanese holly, is a small to medium-sized evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green leaves and inconspicuous white flowers in spring, with small black berries later in the year. This resilience to pruning and dense growth habit makes Ilex Crenata a popular alternative to common Box for topiary. Ilex Crenata is the perfect companion for contemporary garden design.
Olive Tree
Olive trees are incredibly resistant, especially in regions of the UK with milder conditions, such as southern England. These beautiful trees thrive in pots or well-drained soil and benefit from full sunlight. The leaves are aromatic, with delicate yellow flowers in the summer, and if you are really lucky, black olives will appear in late summer or early autumn.
Agapanthus
Agapanthus Snowy White is a stunning perennial with pure white flowers that bloom in clusters atop tall green stems. This variety typically reaches a height of 2 to 3 feet, making it a striking addition to gardens. Its lush, strap-like leaves create a robust backdrop for the profusion of flowers in midsummer, attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies.
Myrtle
Myrtle is a highly fragrant evergreen shrub commonly found in warm climates but thrives in sunny UK gardens. With glossy, dark green leaves, it produces beautiful white flowers in summer, followed by blue-black berries. Myrtle has a long history of symbolizing love and peace and is often used in traditional medicine and aromatherapy.
